Responsible Gambling

This site is about moving money into and out of casino accounts, which makes it a strange place to skip the part about keeping control of it. So here it is, on its own page, with the help lines at the bottom.

The tools worth using before you need them

Every operator we cover offers deposit limits in the account settings, and setting one takes under a minute. Two things make them work better than people expect. A lower limit takes effect immediately, while raising it is delayed by design, which means the limit you set on a calm evening still holds on a bad one. And a limit set before the first deposit never has to be argued for afterwards.

Time-outs and reality checks do a different job. A time-out closes the account for a fixed period and cannot be reversed early. A reality check simply interrupts play at an interval you choose and tells you how long you have been at it, which sounds trivial until you see the number.

Two of the payment routes covered on this site build a cap in by themselves. A prepaid voucher can only spend what is loaded on it, and phone billing is held to roughly thirty pounds a day by the carrier rather than by the casino. If a hard ceiling is what you want, those are the rails that enforce it without relying on willpower.

Self-exclusion, stated plainly

National self-exclusion schemes bind the operators licensed in that country. GAMSTOP covers operators licensed in Britain, CRUKS covers the Dutch register, OASIS covers Germany, and so on down the list. Casinos licensed elsewhere are outside those schemes. That is a description of how licensing works, and it is on this page because knowing it matters: if you have registered with a national scheme, a site outside it will not be blocked for you, and no page on this domain is written for someone in that position.

Every operator also runs its own account-level self-exclusion, which does apply wherever it is licensed. If you want to stop at a specific site, that is the button, and support can action it the same day.

Signs worth taking seriously

Chasing a loss with a bigger stake. Depositing money set aside for something else. Playing longer than intended and being surprised by the clock. Hiding the size of a session from someone close to you. Borrowing to fund play. None of these are moral failings and all of them are common, which is exactly why every line below is free to call.

Where to get help

These are the services for the countries this domain covers, each in its own language. Everything here is confidential, and most of it is free. The minimum age for online gambling is 18 in nearly every market listed, with two exceptions: in Belgium and in Greece it is 21.

Casinospayments.org is a comparison site. We do not run games, hold balances or process payments, and we cannot close an account for you - that request goes to the operator or to the national scheme above. What we can do is make sure the information here is accurate, so if a number on this page has changed, write to miles@casinospayments.org and we will correct it.
