Privacy and Cookie Policy

This page explains what happens to data when you visit Casinospayments.org. The short version is that very little happens, and this page exists mainly to prove it rather than to dress up a long list of collection practices.

Who is responsible

Casinospayments.org is the controller for any personal data described here. The site is published for readers in the United Kingdom and eighteen other European markets, so both the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR apply depending on where you are reading from. Questions, requests and complaints go to miles@casinospayments.org.

What we collect

We do not ask you to register. There is no account, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no profile. You can read every page on this domain without giving us anything.

Two things reach us anyway. The first is standard server log data, which your browser sends to any website it connects to: an IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the browser and operating system. Logs of that kind exist so a site can be kept running and defended against abuse, and they are held briefly and then discarded.

The second is anything you choose to send us. If you write to the address above, we have your message and your email address for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a record of the correction if one was made. We do not add that address to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

What we do not collect

We do not run analytics. There is no Google Analytics tag, no Meta pixel, no advertising network script and no heatmap tool on this site. We do not build profiles of readers, we do not track you across other websites, and we have nothing to sell to a data broker because we never collected it.

We also never see anything about your gambling. Deposits, balances, payout requests and identity documents all happen on the operator's site, under the operator's privacy policy, and none of it passes through us. When an article describes a cashier, that is our own testing, not your activity.

Legal basis for processing

Server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interests - keeping the site available, secure and free of abuse. Correspondence is processed on the basis of legitimate interests as well, so that we can answer you and correct the site. Where consent is the right basis for something, we will ask for it and you will be able to withdraw it just as easily.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social embed cookies, and no cross-site identifiers. That is also why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner: there is nothing here that requires consent, and a banner that asked for it anyway would be theatre.

A cookie or a small amount of local storage may be used for something purely functional, such as remembering that you have chosen the dark or light view. Data like that stays in your own browser, is readable only by this site, and is not sent anywhere.

If you want to remove whatever is stored, every browser can do it. In Chrome, Edge and Firefox it sits under settings, then privacy, then clearing browsing data for this site. In Safari it is under settings, then privacy, then managing website data. You can also block storage for this domain entirely - nothing on the site will break.

Operators you reach through our links are a separate matter. The moment you land on an operator's site, that operator's cookies and its own policy apply, and it almost certainly does run analytics and advertising technology. Our policy stops at our own domain.

Affiliate tracking

Some links here are affiliate links. Following one passes a reference to the operator so it knows the visit came from this site. That reference identifies the source of the click, not you: we do not learn your name, whether you opened an account, what you deposited or what you played. Commission reporting reaches us as totals, never as records about individual readers.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. The only parties that touch anything are our hosting and security providers, which handle server logs as part of delivering the site under their own contractual obligations. Where any of that involves a transfer outside the UK or the EEA, it relies on the standard safeguards those arrangements require.

How long we keep things

Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then deleted. Correspondence is kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a correction can be traced back to the report that prompted it. Nothing here is retained indefinitely.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask for processing to be restricted. Write to miles@casinospayments.org and we will answer within one month. There is no charge.

In practice, the answer to most access requests here is that we hold nothing beyond a possible server log entry and, if you have written to us, your own email. That is the whole picture.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: readers in the United Kingdom can contact the Information Commissioner's Office, and readers elsewhere can contact the data protection authority in their own country.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to the address above and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

If the site ever starts using something that changes any of the above - an analytics tool, an embedded service, a contact form - this page gets updated before it goes live, and the change will be described in plain terms rather than buried in a new clause.
